The Conservation Authority would like to manage and control the invasive species located within six properties that are owned and operated by the Conservation Authority and are located within the Lake Simcoe watershed. These properties include Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area, Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, Lake Simcoe Conservation Preserve, Beaver River Wetland Conservation Area. Thornton Bales Conservation Area and Luck Conservation Area. The purpose of this project is to effectively manage and control the invasive species identified within specific areas within the six properties over a two year period. The target invasive species include: Wild Parsnip, Dog Strangling Vine, Garlic Mustard, Phragmites, and Poison Ivy. The specific details around what will be targeted within each Conservation Area and the specific target areas are described in greater detail in the Request for Quotation document.
